The Ogun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), has expressed heartfelt condolences to the Minister of State for Health, Dr. Iziaq Kunle Salako, following the passage of his mother.
The Union acknowledges the life, legacy, influence, and guidance of the departed with utmost respect and admiration which undoubtedly have greatly contributed to the admirable professional, leadership, and personal qualities exhibited by her children, especially the Minister of the Federal Republic.
The Union describes the loss as a significant one, saying the death of a loved one comes with sober feelings as it hurts so much, even if the departed is of ripe age. Our hearts, therefore, go out to Dr. Kunle Salako and the entire family during this difficult time, and we pray for strength and comfort as they navigate this profound loss.
The Council commends the Minister for his dedication to healthcare and services to the nation, particularly during challenging times, emphasizing the reflection of roles played by his mother in shaping his life and contribution to the communities.
The Council expresses strong solidarity and offer unwavering support as the family mourns the loss of their beloved matriarch whose presence will be deeply missed, and her memory cherished forever, having lived an impactful life.
The council therefore prayed Almighty Allah grant the soul of Mama rest in eternal peace, and her family find solace in the cherished memories they hold dear.
