NIMC Clarifies, NIN Registration Is Free, Staff Found Extorting Applicants To Face Sanctions

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has informed the general public that enrollment for the National Identification Number (NIN) is free of charge.

Kayode Adegoke, the Head, Corporate Communications,
National Identity Management Commission made this known to newsmen in a press statement on Saturday.

The Commission affirmed that it do not charge nor authorise any Staff or its Front End Partners (FEP) to charge applicants for the NIN enrolment.

The Commission therefore directed security agencies to track any staff or FEPs caught extorting applicants for NIN enrollment.

Anyone caught will be sanctioned appropriately in line with the provisions of the law, and the license of such FEP will be withdrawn.

The general public is advised to report any staff or FEP that demands money for enrollment through the following channels:
