Kogi Govt Pays December Salary Early, Targets Yuletide Celebrations Boosts

The Kogi State Government has announced the payment of December salaries on December 14, enabling civil servants to plan and enjoy their Christmas and New Year holidays after working hard throughout the year.

Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr Kingsley Fanwo, explained that the early payment is aimed at ensuring civil servants receive their basic needs in good time for the yuletide. Fanwo noted that a similar payment was made during the Sallah break to enable civil servants celebrate with their loved ones.

Fanwo assured that Governor Usman Ododo would continue prioritizing the welfare of civil servants, rewarding hard work and dedication to duties. Kogi State was one of the first states to implement the new minimum wage for its workforce.

Civil servants in the state have commended the Governor for prioritizing their welfare. Mr Segun Adegboyega, a civil servant, expressed gratitude, stating that the early payment was not a surprise, given the Governor's track record. Another civil servant, Hajara Musa, praised the Governor, calling him "Mr Alert" for his commitment to the welfare of civil servants.
