OGUN FRSC CHARGE MOTORISTS TO EMBRACE CNG AS ALTERNATIVE ENERGY





The Ogun State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corp, (FRSC) CC Anthony Uga today 25th July 2024 at the Ota zonal sensitization programme held at Bezer Hotel and suits, Sango-Ota urge the pubic motorists to embrace the usage of Compressed Natural Gas as alternative energy for effective management and reduction of fossil fuel which in turn contributed immensely to depletion of ozone layers globally. 
He stated the continuos burnings of the Fossil fuels lead to untold negative effects of global warming the world experienced hitherto.  

Cc Uga added,the essence of the sensitization excersice is to create awareness for motorists and stakeholders to embrace and adapt to the numerous benefits the CNG provides for motorists and the world at large. Fossil fuels emissions accounted for 21 percentage of global carbon emissions which are usually generated from Trucks and Articulated vehicles. Added CNG is more economical and more environmental friendly. The FRSC Boss also canvass for seeking the public's Non Motorized Transportation means like Cycling (NMT) showing how it also helps to maintain people's health status if adopted,an excersice which he had practiced at Abeokuta previously.

Ogun state commissioner for Transportation,Eng Gbenga Dairo,ably represented by Eng.Hassan Bamidele commends the Corps initiative to sensitive the general public on need to curb Carbon emissions in the State, Cited its priority in the mind of the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun that he purchased CNG buses for the state,the usage which has benefited residents till date, Reveals the Governor's plan for Private Partnership for E-mobile programmes with E-stations in furtherance of curbing the carbon emission challenges in the State.

 

 The facilitators from Green Fuel Limited,Mr Harikrishnan Perumal and Otunba Bolaji Oyedeko responded with illustrations of how the CNG gas is more safer in incidence of explosions, stated the company is willing to partner with organizations and groups of companies who wish to establish CNG gas stations within their premises for an easy access.
 



The Ota vehicles Inspection Zonal Commander,Eng.Oluwatoyin Olugbenga representing Her Boss, Engineer Olugbemiga Ademehin urge all stakeholders to utilize the given information and buy into the initiative for its multiple benefits and global pursuits to eradicate fossil fuel emissions and its attendance damages. 
 
 The vice chancellor of Covenant University, Prof. Dominic Azo through his representative, support advocacy for alternative energy solutions to global warming and call for everyone's engagement for the initiative,however charge the government and stakeholders to make it cheaper for an easy access through pricing.
 
The Corps Corridor Commander covering Ifo,Ota Agbara, DCC Olayinka Akande appreciates guests and plead to the sitting to further advocate the benefits of the initiative for its good for all citizenry benefits.
