The African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Omoyele Sowore, has claimed that the Labour Party presidential candidate in last year’s election, Peter Obi, was packaged to deceive Nigerians.
According to Sahara Reporters on Sunday, Sowore said that even Doyin Okupe, a former director general of the Peter Obi 2023 presidential campaign organization, recently came out to hint that they were trying to use the Labour Party to hoodwink Nigerians.
Sowore said that Peter Obi is not what he was presented to be, that he knows Peter Obi, and that it was the reason he was against his candidacy in the 2023 election.
He said that having supporters is nothing new because no politician does not have supporters. He said that in America, former US President, Donald Trump, has supporters who are willing to kill themselves because of him.
He said, “What is new about that? But that doesn’t change the fact about Peter Obi’s tenure as an eight-year governor in Anambra State who didn’t build a school. Not a single road, not a single hospital that you can count, exists.”
He said that when issues like that are raised, Peter Obi’s supporters would tell people to go and verify, and when people go and verify it, they would refuse to accept it.
Speaking further, Sowore said that even Peter Obi knows that he was packaged and presented to Nigerians.
He added, “Even Doyin Okupe has come out to say that they were packaging themselves to use the Labour Party to hoodwink Nigerians.”
