Due to his observation of the ugly trend of some security stakeholders using their privileges to break the law, the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State Command, CP Adegoke Fayoade wants them to be law-abiding citizens rather than law breakers, Trek Africa Newspaper can report. He noted with disappointment how some members of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) are abusing and attacking police officers instead of supporting them. He made this known at his familiarisation and sensitization visit to Area F Command under the leadership of, ACP Paul Azuka Okafor yesterday.

Speaking at the meeting, CP Adegoke Fayoade stated:
There is regular interaction of the Police with the community. It is enhanced, that is why I will continue to appreciate the PCRC. They have supported us greatly.’

‘I would however have to mention that some PCRC members think that once they are PCRC members, they are above the law and that they can commit offence. One person started abusing a police officer when he stopped him on the road while traveling. That should not be.’
‘As PCRC members, we must be law-abiding. Let’s get all our vehicles papers together. Lagos State Government is so much concerned about security’, Fayoade remarked.
