It was within the confines of Kirikiri Maximum Prisons where Ajudia’s path crossed with that of General Bamaiyi. Seizing the opportunity, Ajudia, alongside others, allegedly convinced the army general that he could secure his freedom by hiring the services of renowned lawyer Afe Babalola (SAN). Manipulating Bamaiyi’s desperation, Ajudia received a staggering $8.4 million in purported legal fees.

However, as time went on, the truth behind Ajudia’s scheme began to unravel. The law chambers of Afe Babalola and Co. issued a disclaimer, vehemently dissociating themselves from the case and exposing Ajudia’s fraudulent activities. The truth about his deceitful practices came to light, and the once-controversial lawyer found himself facing numerous fraud charges.

But life has a way of surprising us. Despite his troubled past, news broke that Barr. Fred Ajudia had transformed into Prophet Fred Ajudia, now serving as the General Overseer of Christ Restoration Assembly in Ibuzor, Delta State. Services were held in the grand living room of one of his lavish mansions, where his devoted congregation gathered to worship.

In a Sunday service video, Ajudia’s wife, Princess, was seen dancing among the worshipers, embraced by the support of Fred’s friends. It was evident that Ajudia’s controversial journey had taken an unexpected turn towards spirituality. Some questioned the authenticity of his conversion, while others believed that a personal transformation was indeed possible for anyone.

Sources close to Ajudia revealed that spirituality had always been a significant part of his life. Even during his flashy days as a high-flying socialite, Ajudia was deeply involved with Three Cross Church, a white garment church in Ijora, Lagos. Alongside his friends, family, and loyal followers, he actively participated in the church’s activities and even provided financial assistance.

As news spread about Ajudia’s transition from a controversial lawyer to a pastor and preacher, opinions were divided. Skeptics saw it as a ploy to regain public sympathy, while others genuinely believed in the possibility of redemption and personal transformation. Ultimately, time would reveal the true intentions and integrity of Prophet Fred Ajudia.

For now, Barr. Fred Ajudia had traded courtroom battles for spiritual warfare, leading a congregation from the comfort of his opulent home. Despite his complex and controversial past, he embarked on a new journey, searching for redemption and forgiveness, hoping that his newfound purpose would bring peace and solace to his troubled soul.
