The Ogun state assembly today recieved August visitors among members of Associations and workers of Distillers of spirits and wine protesters to the state assembly complex.
The aggrieved workers which took their conference and campaigns from Lagos down to Ota ancient town where some of their factories domiciled in the recent days were in the clamours of protests on National agency of food and drug control ban of Alcoholic drinks in Pets, glass bottles and Sachets below 37.5 and 100ml respectfully.

At the assembly complex, after articulated delivery of their points of grievances why government should prevail on NAFDAC Ban of their source of livelihood,the honorable speaker, hon Oludaisi Elemide spoke to them,expressing his personal concerns on the impacts the action would have on the economies of the workers, the state and nation inclusive.
Hon Elemide assured the crowd of protesters his leadership support and promised to escalate the issue to the state governor,Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, for further influence that could provide resolution to the national issues.
Honorable Sheriff Yusuf, the majority leader who incidentally represents constituency of Ado Odo Ota where virtually all distillery factories domiciled in the state added his voice, stated the issue would be look into at the assembly house for possible deliberations.
While the protest proceeded to NAFDAC coordinator for Ogun state,the spokesman revealed the issue is a national issue comprises of tripartite of NAFDAC,Manufacturers Association of Nigeria and Government,cited how the agency gave five years provisions for manufacturers to stop productions of concerned products before January 31st execution, added the policy was agreed by parties concerned.
It was at this moments protesters disapproved his points stated the nation has no place to keep millions of workers and should not pinned any policy that would throw over 800billion investment into dung like that,Urged the agency to drive the path of moderations and fix regulatory activities of branding and public campaigns and enlightenment in place and stop the menace of unemployment this could earned the nation if not nip at the bud now.
The Oba Alake's palace too was not spared for the King to join in seeking resolutions to the deadly policy, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III,the Alake of Egba land, a letter with contents of their grievances was handed over to Kabiyesi Alake,who also probed extents of their publicity on Sachets drinks in order to prevent little ones from accessing the ban products as accused,some of the worker leaders further expantiated on length and scope of the company's publicity nationally on 'not to be sold to under 18' 18+ printed inscriptions on the products as warning to regulate who to purchase or drink the concerned products as a responsible manufacturers.
HRM,Alake promised to digest the letter as submitted and ensure prompt response is given appropriately. He said.
