Man Shares Single, Harrowing Life Experience After Wife, Children Relocates Abroad

A family man, Mr Ayokunle Oyewale has explained how the sudden relocation of his family abroad has turned him to a bachelor and how he has found his new lifestyle unpleasant. According to Mr Ayokunle who poured out his mind to our family lifestyle correspondent, he said he had to do house chores all by himself, go to the market to get and do the cooking all by himself.

Mr Ayokunle said in markets  for gentleman  like him haggling with the market woman pricing pepper,  fish, okro and vegetable oil at times looks embarrassing.

"At other times, i go to the high brow areas of major cities doing my shopping at the mall all alone and even now  spends much of his time hanging out to avoid being lonely in the house.

Mr Ayokunle said though he is a quiet person, he had lived a relatively more quiet life as he had nobody to chat with or even the running around of children.  Except, perhaps  for the occasional visitor since his family relocated abroad.

According to him, his wife and children had to run for their dear lives due to family problems and threat to life due to the current security situation in the country. Mr Ayokunle said he didn't know it will be tough like it is now as the absence of his wife and children is gradually having adverse effects on his businesses.

"I blame the government for what i am currently going through, if the country is secured maybe i would have been with my family right now but when the government fails in it responsibility to secure a nation, the result is that citizens will not want to stay in that country.

"The negligence of government in protecting it's citizens led my wife to abandon me. I know my wife, she's someone who loves being around me but when there's no security, what will one do?

"For someone who who had been kidnapped, she has been attacked and also problem from family too compounded to why she decided to stay back abroad and never want to come to Nigeria again. I said it before that i wont blame her and though her relocation is affecting me, i will always find a place in my heart to understand her. I dont want her to see me as a greedy husband.

Mr Ayokunle said he would advise the government to also look into the issue of some babaric tradition like circumcision of babies which  is still ongoing in some places which also includes his own family believe which was one of the reasons his wife feared returning to Nigeria.
