The Immediate past Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties and Strategy to late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Dr Doyin Odebowale has revealed the roles played by members of the state Executives who worked with the late Governor.
The former SSA who resigned immediately the death of the former Governor of the State was announced on the 27th of December revealed why he resigned amidst many other controversies that surrounds many of the State EXCOs.
According to him, Oil marketers most of whom were members of the cabinet, their families and close allies inflicted hardship on the people of Ondo State during the fuel scarcity.
Prominent among them was the Chief of Staff, Gbenga Ale who according to Odebowale was a major oil marketer in Ondo State.
“It was Gbenga Ale who formed the cabal. They were diverting fuel meant for the good people of the State.
The very first place I locked was the filling station of State of the Chief of Staff, Gbenga Ale.
“Powerful cabals within the EXCO, those i dealth with during the fuel crisis, those that felt I was too powerful, that Aketi has given me wings to fly and that I wasn’t an indigene of the state; were busy sponsoring falsehood against me while Aketi was alive that i slapped a pregnant woman to cover up for their misdeeds against the good people of the State.
“Before, he was over everything, it was his filling station I shutdown during fuel scarcity, he was the one that others hide under to inflict pains on people.
“Gbenga Ale, Chief of Staff, Donald Ojogo who was Commissioner for Information who refused to even write a statement in my support, Donald “seku, seye” that is now in House of Representative, now representing Ondo South amongst those who plotted against me from within Aketi’s government.
“Dare Aragbaiye was one of the very few civil servants who maintained decency and I advised Aketi to retain him in his government.

“He is One of the few ones who would not ask them to come and assassinate me. He became a target because he shielded Aketi and the state from these marauders. Dare Aragbaiye is from Owo, Gbenga Ale, the Chief of Staff is from Owo, the Chief of Staff back stabbed Aketi, the Chief of Staff, Gbenga Ale, back stabbed Aketi several times.” Odebowale maintained.
