Tha least might not have been heard as touching the leadership tussles between former governor, Nyesom Wike and present Governor Fubara Siminalayi of Rivers State, as Sate assembly building demolition continues in pretext of renovation, The Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara on Wednesday, presented the 2024 budget proposals to a four-man State House of Assembly of ₦800 billion.

 

Recall that 27 assembly members decamped to opposition All Progressive Party with video chanting on your mandate we shall stand in a display of loyalty to incumbent president Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.

The four-man assembly was presided over by Edison Ehie who was on Tuesday backed by a ruling of the Rivers State High Court as the authentic Speaker of the State Assembly.

The budget, earlier approved by the Rivers State Executive Council, was tagged as the ‘Budget of Renewed Hope, Consolidation and Continuity’.
