'YOU CAN'T SAVE TINUBU IN 2027'- KWANKWANSO CHIDES GANDUJE

Ganduje and Kwankwaso

Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the national leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and its presidential candidate in the February elections, has criticized his political adversary, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, asserting that Ganduje is a liability to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and incapable of securing victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

In a statement issued by the NNPP’s National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Yakubu Shendam, in response to remarks attributed to the APC chairman, Ganduje, who labeled Kwankwaso a perennial loser, the party stated that given the alleged controversies surrounding Ganduje, he should not be taken seriously by any discerning Nigerian.

The party contended that these scandals had purportedly caused “irreparable damage” to the former Kano State governor, rendering him unable to deliver Tinubu and the APC in 2027. According to Shendam, with Ganduje at the helm, the APC’s prospects are already bleak.

Shendam emphasized, “Whether you accept it or not, Ganduje is a burden to Tinubu, a liability to his party APC, and a liability to the nation. I am confident that with Ganduje as the National Chairman, President Bola Tinubu will lose the 2027 presidential election because Nigerians will not vote for him.”

He further stated, “Tinubu will regret allowing Nigerians to see him through the face of Ganduje, for working closely with a treacherous character.
“Let me remind Ganduje that after losing the governorship primary, Sen. Kwankwaso chose him as his running mate in 2003, SA to the Minister of Defense, ES Chad Basin Development Commission, and therein, he was selected again as his running mate. When Kwankwaso successfully completed his second term, he graciously selected him and handed over to him in 2015. Yet, he betrayed him, and today, no governor trusts his deputy governor to become governor. But we believe this will be the last election he will ever contest and win.”

The statement also pointed out that Ganduje has never won an election in his entire political career, except the one Kwankwaso secured for him as governor in 2015. The statement added, “Every Nigerian knows the story behind the only election he claimed to have won in 2019. It was yet another election he lost resoundingly.”

Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, revealed that he has contested elections 17 times and emerged victorious in 14 of those instances.

The NNPP’s national leader also sounded an alarm regarding what he described as an attempt by the Ganduje-led APC to subvert the will of the people of Kano State. He warned that any effort to manipulate the outcome, as in 2019, would be met with resistance from the good people of Kano and fair-minded judges.
