The Eletu- Odibo Chieftaincy Family of Lagos has come out with a disclaimer and denied any affiliation with socialite, Sam Larry, amidst the controversies trailing the death of popular singer, Mohbad.
PM EXPRESS reports as contained in a press release signed by the Eletu-Odibo Chieftaincy Family.
The family stated, “This is to clarify to the general public as regard the name, Samson Erinfolami Balogun, alias Sam Larry, tagged in some quarters to ba a member of the Eletu-Odibo Chieftaincy Family of Lagos State”.
Reacting to the backlash trailing the socialite and his alleged affiliation to the Eletu-Odibo family, they said that he does not belong to the family neither on the paternal or maternal lineage of the family.
According to the family, “We would like to categorically state and set the record straight that Samson Balogun is not a member of our family neither through paternal nor maternal and not in anyway affiliated with the family”.
It has been reported that on his International passport that Sam Larry has “Balogun Olalekan Eletu” as his name, which may have sparked the controversy.
While urging the Nigeria Police Force to leave no stone unturned in the ongoing investigation, the family extended their deepest condolences and joined noble Nigerians sympathizing with the family of late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
“We believe the facets of living should be exemplified by ethically built society without any form of hindrance to anyone” the family said.
Since the death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, there has been controversies and allegations have been levelled against Sam Larry and Naira Marley over alleged consistent harassment of the deceased since he left the Marlian record label.
