North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un is travelling in a train with 21 bullet-proof carriages, pink leather sofas, conference rooms and a restaurant serving fine French wines and dishes like fresh lobster.

The 1,180km (733 mile) journey will take probably take more than 20 hours as the train can only reach speeds around 50km/h (31mph) because of its heavy armoured protection.

A security train travels ahead to make sure the track is safe and behind, there’s a train full of bodyguards and supplies.

The train has been christened Taeyangho, the Korean word for the sun, and a symbolic reference to North Korea’s founder Kim Il Sung, who began the tradition of rail travel.
