The Ogun State new Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Commander Anthony Uga, at the weekend, commended the efficient performances of the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, TRACE, in the state due to the good leadership and competence of its Commander/CEO, 'Seni Ogunyemi. 

The FRSC Sector Commander gave the commendation during a remark to the speech of the representative of the TRACE Commander/CEO, Area Commander Ajibade Adekunle, at the induction and decoration of 34 new members of the Nigerian Breweries Unit as Special Marshal in Ota.

Commander Ajibade had earlier remarked that he had benefitted immensely from the wealth of knowledge and experience of the new FRSC Sector Commander which he said assisted him a lot in executing his job efficiently.

The 34 new Special Marshal, Nigerian Breweries Unit, who were at the occasion with their wives and relations were decorated by the Sector Commander, FRSC Unit Commander, Ota, Ganiyu Akeem, TRACE Area Commander, Ajibade Adekunle, TRACE Divisional Commander, Ota, Commander Olaoke Victoria and TRACE Unit Commander, Ijoko, Commander Aduroja Ariyo, to mention but a few. 
In his key note address, Commander Uga expressed happiness seeing the TRACE Operatives led by Commander Victoria Olaoke and Commander Aduroja Ariyo, gracing the occasion with their presence, adding that the decoration and induction programme was the largest turn out, so far he had witnessed. 

Enjoining the newly decorated and inducted Special Marshal to be more dutiful, imbibe the spirit of seriousness and responsibility, Uga said FRSC commands the largest volunteers who completes the efforts of the regular FRSC staff. 

"Don't relax on the rules, They guide the regular and otherwise. You are under the oath, respect excos. Work in tandem with the Unit Commander. He will give you all encouragement you need for work. 

"Do the job with human face. FRSC is not a conquering force. Apprehension is not always by fire by force. Take into consideration the psychological feelings and state of mind of those you apprehend" he admonished. 

The FRSC Boss backed his instruction with an example of a man who drove against the traffic, aka One Way, On closer check, he realized that the man was weeping on the wheel, Further probing revealed that the man had just lost his wife. "Our men took him home, and saw that people gathering in front of the man's house, were weeping. 

"We are dealing with road users with different kinds of psychological dispositions,. There will be regular workshop. Please imbibe the spirit and culture of road safety which our forefathers handed to us. Don't disappoint FRSC", he said. .

Earlier, in his welcome address, the state Coordinator of the FRSC Special Marshal, Elder Adeniyi Solomon, admonished the newly decorated Special Marshal, Nigerian Breweries Unit, to be civil in the performance of their duty, while executing job, because they are working for the civil society. 

"You are to imbibe the culture of 'Catch them young'; go to school and enlighten school children on road safety. 

"Liaise with the Unit Commander. Always be careful when you are on the road. Your safety, first. Don't be too eager to apprehend. Don't just jump on the road to apprehend. You may just pick the number of any stubborn offender. . Don't collect our kits and display it on the dash board of your vehicles. Such will be seized when you're arrested.
