2023 Graduating Students
Alhaja Romoke Adedokun, Proprietress, Adedokun International Schools, Dalemo, Ota, has advised schools to embrace innovations and technology to drive educational development in the country.
Adedokun gave the advice during the 2023 Graduation Ceremony & Prize Giving Day of the school on Saturday in Dalemo, Ota.
According to him, this would also improve the quality of education across the state and the country as large.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 73 students graduated from SSS3 class for the 2022/2023 academic session.
She noted that there was the need for schools to embrace technology in order to move with times and what is happening in academic world today.
“The academic world of today is moving towards the technological phase where learning and assessment are done via technological gadgets,” Adedokun said.
She said that the aim of the Day was to keep students abreast of current trends in today’s world.
The educationist reiterated the commitment of the school to continue to groom students by providing them with quality education which would prepare them for future challenges.
She commended parents for their physical, emotional, mental and financial supports as well as providing conducive atmosphere for schools to strive.
Adedokun congratulated the graduands for their successful completion of a level of life, urging them to work diligently towards making the nation great.
Dr Tunde Akani, Director of Digital Media Research Centre, Lagos State University, advised youth to be innovative and creative in order to be relevant both in the country and the global world.
Akani, also a guest speaker, emphasized the need for parents and private school proprietresses to formulate artificial intelligence that guards schools.
He said that formulating artificial intelligence was necessary since the government was not having policy on artificial intelligence.
The guest speaker also advised schools to work with relevant government agencies like the Petroleum Trust Funds (PTF) to make the country a better place.
Also, Alhaji Wasiu Lawal, Ado-Odo/OTA Liason Officer, Ogun, urged parents to adequately monitor their children to prevent them from being influenced by bad peer groups.
Wasiu called on parents to further invest in their children because they are greater assets in the future. (NAN)
