It was reported on 25th of February that a labour party agent was attacked while performing his agency duties in Lagos.

The scene suddenly became that of a planned attack after a man named Adedube Bankole Adebayo of number 6 Uncle Easy street,Agodi LASTMA, Off Odongunyan Ikorodu Lagos on 25th February 2023 was assaulted at the election polling booth where he served as Labour party agent in Lagos.

According to him, the assault matter got sparked when he refuses to allow the thugs positioned to the polling unit alter election results numbers while it seems their political parties were losing out to the Candidates of Labour party which Bankole represented at the poling unit.

Adedube Bankole was seriously injured after he tried preventing the thugs compromising election results from his unit for the election. He was quickly rushed down to Genesis hospital Lagos, where he spent four (4) months before he could be recuperated from the wounds sustained from the political thugs attack.

The Security team of Nigerian police has been on the trail of the attackers for arrest and prosecutions since the day of the sad incident.
It was also reported by our correspondence after the incident that his life seems to be under threat while his attackers have not been found and arrested for prosecutions.

The matter was reported and incidented at the Ijede police station in Ikorodu Lagos with discreet investigations by police teams to run after the alleged political touts who had fled the scene of the attack when security men arrived.

It was at the discovery of possible attacks from the political hoodlums allegedly from the opposition parties which are still at large after months of assault and poses dangers to his life after the incident that the Police force recommend that he seek asylum to enable him escape any possible reprisal attack hence suspects are yet to be found and arrested for prosecutions. However, the security team vowed to track them down as investigation is still ongoing.
