The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA-SPIDEL former Chairman has described the charge against Emefiele as absolute deception.
In a reaction made available to BarristerNG on Sunday, the former
SPIDEL boss said “The charge is absolute deception and I think these
people are taking us for granted. They believed we are all fools.
Did they not tell us that Emefiele was involved in financing terrorists? What has happened to that allegation?
What has happened to the allegation of misappropriation of the money for
printing new currency? What has happened to the allegation of stamp
duty money allegedly squandered by Emefiele?
“What has happened to the allegation of manipulating our foreign
exchange with Buhari cabals? What has happened to the allegation of
operating several secret accounts not known to the federal Republic of
Nigeria?
There were several allegations banded against him when he was arrested
recently. So what happened to the intelligence gathered against him by
DSS?
“The charge of possession of illegal firearms is laughable.

“Do you think that someone in the person of Emefiele will possess firearm without licence? I am sure he has license but I am sure it may have expired and that is what they have decided to take him to court for and have him discharged and acquitted
“Emefiele will never be convicted of that offence and if it turns out that he will be convicted, it is soft landing for avoid charging him for the heinous crimes they know that he has committed.
The truth is that Emefiele can never be charged for the real offences he is alleged to have committed because if he is charged for the real offences, he will spill the beans that will involve Former President Buhari and his cabals.
