OGUN TRACE LAUNCHES ZEBRA-CROSSING MARK,ERECTS SIGN POST TO SCHOOL

The Ogun State traffic managers, Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) had on 1st February 2023 provided a road Zebra crossing markings and a sign post indicating school children crossing platform for Sango High school,along Ijoko road of Sango Ota in Ogun state.

This initiative borne out of the TRACE leadership directives,Corp Commander, Commander 'Seni Ogunyemi's mandate for agency's posts to carry-out safety projects in their respective stations,units and locations throughout the gateway state.

Recall that some years back some units of the traffic agency were spoted on roads employing measures to fix potholes in order to make road users and commuters alike have free flow of traffic in many parts of the state. An initiative though not part of their official responsibilities but taken on a platter of humanitarian grounds.

As the directives dispatched to  commands, TRACE Area commander in charge of Area 4 Ota, Commander Ajibade Ariyo has since waterdown directives as Ijoko unit Commander, Under Commander Aduroja Ariyo birthed the initiative by fixing Zebra-crossing mark and Sign post in front of the school.
The traffic commander stated her unit pick the school as huge traffic flash point especially for the school pupils which are always crowdy at resumption and closing time daily.
 

 

 She promised the unit under Area Commander Adekunle Ajibade would continue sensitizing the road users about the import and actions expected of them whenever they drives round any Zebra crossing platform on the corridor.

Commander Adekunle Kojeku, TRACE Corridor commander of Ijoko Axis,was sighted at the project launching with team to monitor advancement of work done.
In attributions to the financier of the project, Mrs Nike Teriba was applauded by commander Aduroja Ariyo for supporting Ijoko axis TRACE agency for making the project possible.
 
 The students and commuters including other road users had since made good use of the Zebra-crossing mark with the signage indicating children crossing,a signage erection showing drivers to stop especially when approaching the land- mark.
