The Institute of Business Administration and Knowledge Management (IBAKM), on Thursday, bestowed a fellowship award on Oba Adeyemi Abdulkabir, Olota of Ota in  Ogun, for his contributions to human development.

The Global Executive Vice President of IBAKM, Dr Monday Anyairo, announced the conferment at the royal father’s palace in Ota in Ado/Odo-Ota Local Government Area of Ogun.

Anyairo said that the fellowship award was always based on excellence in leadership or management.

He said that Adeyemi was chosen for the honour due to his excellent leadership and proficiency in academics.

According to Anyairo, the traditional ruler has also excelled in business administration and knowledge management.

“After looking through his profile, the institute discovered that Oba Adeyemi was one of the traditional rulers passionate about developing business administration and knowledge management.

“In addition, Olota of Ota has contributed to institutional development.

“The institute deemed it fit to bestow this fellowship award on him because of his knowledge capacity and transformational leadership evident since he took over the mantle of Olota of Ota.” he said.

Anyairo said that the institute, with a core value for competence and quality assurance, started operations in 2013 and had branches across the country.

He said that members of the institute were doing well across the world.

In his response, the royal father thanked the institute for the honour .

He urged IBAKM to continue to contribute positively to human development.
