I'm furtherance of series of commendations arises from different offices and places visited to strengthen hands of fellowship with the gateway state traffic agency, a move better taken to facilitate cordial mutual services to the general public, the Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon Sherif Adewale Musa, on Thursday, described the presence of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, TRACE, in the state as a blessing, judging by the proper execution of traffic control.
The Chairman gave the accolade in his office during a courtesy/familiarization visit of the TRACE Management for introduction of the newly promoted Ota Divisional Commander Victoria Olaoke.
Flanked by the Deputy Chairman, Hon. (Mrs) Saidat Animashaun and Secretary to the local government, Deacon Abiodun Akante, besides other council officials, the Chairman said people have been commending the good job of TRACE Operatives as they are seeing at every nook and cranny in the Council Area.

Hon Musa however cautioned the visiting Commander Olaoke that every new promotion demands more hardwork and dedication to justify the confidence reposed in the promoted officer.
According to Hon. Musa, the Agency is very lucky to have officers like Cdr Ajibade Adekunle as the Area Commander in Ogun West, who works under the able leadership of the Corps Commander/CEO 'Seni Ogunyemi, adding, "He is the reason for my honouring this meeting today".
The Chairman also enjoined cautioned the new Divisional Commander that the Agency should not relent in its efforts, no matter criticisms against it, citing an example of a Professor who was testing his students by distributing white answer sheets on which there is a black dot.
"The Professor asked the students to turn the paper upside-down and write down their observation. Each of the students gave series descriptions of the black dot, including its shapes, sizes, etc.
"The Professor told the students that, it shows people will notice only little error in your life, leaving out the remaining good side of you. So remain focus and don't be detarred by criticisms".
He added that in Ota, there are traffic issues more than any other local government in the state, stressing that "statistics shows that we are 1.75 percent more than the next local government. If you are still doing well in the midst of these challenges, it shows your labour is much recognised and not in vain".
Promising, on behalf of the council to continue to strengthen the already existing synergy between the local government and TRACE Agency, Hon. Musa said he was going to collaborate with TRACE to draft modus operandi for joint operations on the belief that safety on the roads is a collective responsibility.
Earlier, in her speech, Commander Olaoke thanked the Chairman for the Council"s support, saying it's a rare opportunity to have him always there for the Agency.
"It shows, as Number One Citizen of the Council Area, you are a man of the people. You have been our father. We've come to ensure the synergy between TRACE and the Council remains intact", she said.
Commander Olaoke further told the Chairman that she had earlier had a stakeholders' meeting with union executives to find a lasting solution to intractable traffic bottnecks at areas like Oju-Ore, Tollgate, Iyana Iyesi, Sango Under Bridge, to mention but a few.
She added that the meeting promised to be fruitful with expression of collaboration of the union executives who promised to go back to their bases and do the needful.
Besides, Commander Olaoke asked permission to add the Chairman and other council executives on the newly created platform of TRACE Operatives and union executives, for smooth communication on traffic issues in the Council Area.
