Breaking! Mary Elizabeth Truss Emerged New UK Prime Minister After Boris Johnson

 



Nearly two months after Boris Johnson reluctantly announced his resignation on the steps of 10 Downing Street, Britain has finally chosen a new leader: Liz Truss.

The UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, Mary Elizabeth Truss, is the new UK Prime Minister.

The South West Norfolk MP, who has been in Parliament since May 2010, takes over from Boris Johnson, becoming Conservatives Party’s fourth PM since the 2015 election.

Truss, 47, is the third female to be UK Prime Minister after “Iron Lady” Margaret Hilda Thatcher and later Theresa Mary May.

She defeated former Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak to attain the feat. (Results as announced by Sir Graham Stuart Brady, Returning Officer & Chairman of the 1922 Committee.
