The President, National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), Mr Samson Oki, has felicitated with Nigerian Christians and their counterparts all over the world on the celebration of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, saying it is a time for sober reflection for both the nation as a whole and individuals.

Oki's felicitations were conveyed in a statement signed by the Association's Public Relations Officer, Mr Eric Elezuo.

He noted that the nation is going through a critical period in its history both economically and security wise, stressing that a heartfelt prayer from christians at this sober time can heal the nation and restore mutual trust, respect and goodwill among the leaders and the led.

"It is my deepest desire, on behalf of the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), to wish our noble Christians a great Easter celebrations, and ask that the period be used to pray wholeheartedly for our nation to come out of its present economic challenges, security degradation and other attendant issues.

"The Bible has said that the effectual fervent prayer of righteous availeth much, and I believe strongly if we can make our prayers effectual and fervent, especially at this period of remembrance of the huge price Jesus Christ paid for humanity, all will be well for Nigeria, Oki said.

He further used the opportunity to call on the leadership of the country to double up their efforts to ensure that the citizens enjoy the dividend of democracy as well as the privileges of being a citizen.

"We know our leaders are doing well, and we appreciate them for that. However, we call for more sustained efforts at alleviating poverty among the citizens and provisions of safety and security for the teeming population," he said.
