The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps otherwise known as So-Safe Corps has threw the camp of some suspected robbery syndicate who have been robbing Flour Mill situated at Araromi, Orita along Sokoto Road, Atan Ota, Ogun State into sad mood after a failed robbery operation on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at about 9:35hrs.
According to a statement issued by the State Commander of So-Safe Corps Agency through the office of the Corps Director of Information and Public Relations, ACC Moruf Yusuf said, not less than eight (8) armed syndicate came to vandalise the Flour Mill at Atan, Ota in Ado-Odo Local Government Area.
Meanwhile, nemesis caught up with the culprits as the Agbara Area Command Patrol Team of the agency after a distress call thereafter engaged the robbery syndicate in a battle without leaving any breathing space.
A number of the culprits escaped during the fire exchange when they noticed the Corps may likely overpowered them but the deadly engagement of this criminally minded team with the professionals left one of the armed robbers misfired by his gang and he gave up the ghost while others fled.
Effort is on going to get the rest of the gang apprehended as this will send signals to the rest of the robbery syndicate that Atan and Ogun State as a whole can never be a place for crime suspects to hibernate.
The remain of the robbery suspect, items recovered at the scene such as one (1) itel phone, 2 pairs of slippers and the exhibit recovered at the scene (3 parked sacked of electronic gadgets) have been handed over to the Nigeria Police, Atan Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution.
