Lions Clubs District 404B1 Extend Helping Hands To Elderly People In Ogun



A large number of elderly people in Ado-Odo-Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, on Thursday, January 19, 2022, beneffited from relief packages donated by the District 404B1 of International Association of Lions Clubs.
The event was held at the palace of Olukotun of Otun Ota, Oba Abdul-Akeem Odunaro and Palace of Ajana of Ijana Ota, Oba Clement Akinyemi.
 
The donation, according to the club’s District Governor, Rasheed Ologundudu, the agenda was focused on relieving hunger as part of the activities lined up in the months of December to January by the association, aimed at giving back to the society and also showing love to the elderly people.
“The kind gesture is a way of showing love to the less privileges and also making them understand that they are not abandoned. “We in Lions Clubs always feel glad while reaching to people especially the aged in the society, because this is what we were called to do as lions to the community.
The project chairperson, Alhaja Faoridat Adeshola Noibi, expressed joy and appreciation for the opportunity given to her by the club and also the ability to care for the less privileged in the community.
The traditional rulers thanked the club for the donations and prayed that God will continue to bless and provide for them.
