OLU OF ILARO,OBA OLUGBENLE CONFERS CHIEFTANCY TITLES,CALLS FOR UNITY AMONG INDIGENES

Indigenes of Yewa-land home and abroad have been called upon to be united, be of one language and aim common goal towards the overall development of Yewa-land.

The call was made by the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba (Dr)  Kehinde Olugbenle during the  conferment  of chieftaincy titles on some notable indigenes  of the land in his palace at Ilaro, Yewa South  Local Government of Ogun State.

The Paramount Ruler submitted that, the development of the region largely depended on the cooperation, love and unity among the people, hence they must embrace themselves and be of one language in spite of religious and social differences.

“I want to implore you to be more united and speak with one voice  at all times.  It is by so doing  that we can achieve  development of Yewaland. Let us cooperate  with one another and always  be our brothers’ keepers”, Olugbenle posited.

Oba Olugbenle urged the new chiefs to rededicate themselves  to the course of Yewaland  and be good ambassadors of the region anywhere they may be.

Speaking  with Ogun  Update Correspondent shortly after receiving the title, Chief Abiodun Olamilekan Ilo, the new “Adele of Olu of Ilaro” appreciated the paramount ruler and the people of Yewaland for the honour reposed in him, promising to make good use of his new position with a call on other chiefs to join hands for peace, progress and development of Ilaro and Yewaland in general.

Others conferred with chieftaincy titles include,  Chief Safarudeen Jimoh Popoola as Bobatolu of Ilaro-Yewa;  Chief Emmanuel Ekunola as Baale  Pahayi; Chief Ibrahim Ajisafe as Baale  of Ojete; Chief Prince Mattew Akanni as Baale  Egbeda Oke – Igbo amongst others.
