AIG Adeleke Urges Nigerians Not To Sell Country To Criminals Nigerians

Assistant Inspector General of Police AIG Adeyinka Adeleke has called on all Nigerias to come together and tackle the menace of insecurity in the country saying we should not sell the fate of the country to criminals.

The police boss who was special guest of honour at the Institute of Security, Nigeria at the University of Lagos where he was conferred with the Institute’s distinguished fellow said he has noticed with dismay the embarrassing manner Nigerians criticised Security operatives in the country without attempting to profer solution to the problems.

According to him, Nigerians have no reason to walk and drive around in fear of a negligible group of persons who chose the nametag of criminals.

He said, “When I was asked to speak, I said I had nothing to say except they want me to preach and the gospel I have to preach is that of security.

“All of us gathered here either drove here, you’re driven here or or walked down to attend this occasion. And it’s all about security. This is why we must not sell this country to criminals.

“We must not hand over Nigeria to lawlessness because it will be dangerous. Don’t let us hand over the country to criminals. I was AIG ZONE 9 Umuahia which comprises Abia, Imo and Ebonyi states and now I am in Lagos.

“Whether we know what we’re doing or not, we are handing over the fate of our country to criminals by our action or inaction. All we do is criticise but we are not doing what we are supposed to do. We must therefore, wakeup and take over the issue of security of our country seriously.”
