The Super Eagles came out smoking against the Central African Republic on Sunday as they posted a 2-0 win to confirm their status in the FIFA World Cup qualifying series.
A 29th-minute goal by Glasgow Rangers defender Leon Balogun and a 46th-minute shocker from Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen were all Super Eagles needed to redeem their shattered image against CAR.
The star-studded Eagles had lost their first encounter 0-1 in front of football-loving Lagos fans before going to Cameroon to vent their anger on CAR.
The first half of the keenly contested encounter ended with Nigeria dictating the pace and being in full control of the midfield, thus keeping CAR to make many unpardonable errors.
