Ogun: Stakeholders Meets, Profer Solutions To Oju-ore Traffic Challenges


 




 

A concerned stakeholders meeting was as a matter of importance convened on Thursday, 7th October 2021 at the Ado Odo Ota Local Government office to proffer solutions to the lingering traffic bottlenecks in the town, especially at Oju-Ore.

The meeting which began around 4pm had the Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon. Saidat Animashaun, representing the chairman, High Chief Olarewaju Bashorun, representing the Olota of Ota, Police Area commander Muyideen Obe, AC. Ajibade Adekunle, transport union leaders and market heads.

 

 



 

 


 

 

 

After deliberations and contributions from all the stakeholders, a six point communiqué was drawn as follows;
1. Two days grace period is given to all the parties involved with the traffic imbroglio at ojuore to put their house in order before enforcement.
2. All commercial vehicles waiting to load at ojuore are to maintain only one line, no double parking.
3. No more driving against traffic.
4. Taskforce to be reintroduced for internal enforcement.
5. No more loading of passengers at SOL filling stations, those vehicles should now move to somewhere beyond Iganmode.
6. Introduction of mobile courts.
