It was an amazing and interesting site to behold at the revered palace of His Royal Majesty Oba Kehinde Gbadewolu Olugbenle, Asade Agunloye iv, the Olu of Ilaro, Paramount ruler Yewa-Land Ogun State on Wednesday 27th October 2021 when he categorically re-emphasised the need to Honoured the son of the soil,Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola popularly called 'Yayi' as the substantive Aremo Oba Of Yewa Land.
The statement was at instance of the appreciation visit by the 'Agbole Onibata' Clans of Isaga-orile and Pahayi who are the progenitors of Senator Olamilekan Adeola, who also have their ancient family house at Isaga-orile and Pahayi town within Ilaro kingdom.
Their visitation was in appreciation to the king for honouring their son with the highly revered Chieftaincy tittle of 'Aremo Oba' of all Yewa-Land.
In his word, 'I have nothing further to prove to anyone by giving out chieftancy tittles to whoever I think deserved it,and Solomon Adeola has clinched this with supports from all Yewa- Kings as I speaks' .
Recalls that some people has written and Published in a national daily on 19th October 2021 (The Nation newspapers) a letter to the Executive Governor of Ogun state,Dr Dapo Abiodun to intervene and restrain the Paramount ruler of Yewa Land from installing Senator Adeola as Aremo Oba Of Yewa Land. Parts of their contention according to the letter was sceptism about his origin in Ogun state. Warning chieftancy tittles be not politicised in the state.
In the letter they added no family,land or city has proved relationship to Senator Solomon Adeola that can prove his eligibility for the honored and traditional Chieftaincy tittle in Ogun state.
In response to that, Oba Agunloye iv The Olu of Ilaro,HRM Kehinde Gbadewolu Olugbenle stated the detractors and sponsors of such letters should go and mind their own business hence he is so proud of his heritage that he cannot allow anyone to rubbish the revered stool of his fore-fathers.
The Olu of Ilaro added that whosoever is angry about the installation of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola should sue him to Court as last resort for any dispute in the land. 'He is the Son of the soil' I know my own and my own knows me he Biblically alluded.
I need to let you know in this gathering today that, apart from the Aremo Oba of Yewa Land Chieftaincy tittle already aching some fellows, my kingdom as Onilaro has confered another tittle of 'Gbobaniyi' of Ilaro kingdom to 'Yayi' as my son who is been doing wonders to my kingdom hitherto.
Though you all came in respect of Arole Oba tittle but I assured you today that Gbobaniyi tittle has been added to my Son, your son senator Adeola, Therefore Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) is now Gbobaniyi of Ilaro kingdom,the latter you must first celebrate before your planned Arole Oba tittle celebration, the soft but firm spoken king instructively said.
After the Family's appreciation letter was Recieved from the Matriach of the Onibata's family, Chief Michael Adelani Ogundimu who resides at Pahayi town, Pastor Emmanuel Ajibowu,one of the strong pillars of and lineage protectors of the Onibata Family Also thank the Onilaro of Ilaro for the honour and warm welcome but remember to add that honouring their family with such revered tittle on one of their sons is like returning their ancient Chieftaincy tittle of Aare Ona Kakanfo back to the family,citing the year 1844-45 elaborate celebrations of tittle given to one of their progenitors in person of Chief Aboki Akinsete Bada as Aare Onakakanfo of Egbado(now Yewa) and Awori land His domain covers Lagos and all Yewa(then Egbado) land in Ogun state.He died in 1910. Several family members including representatives of Royal father's from Isaga-orile,(Ilupeju,Odi-olowo Lagos),high Chief Hamzat Abiodun Allen- Odi-Olowo Oba elect,Hon.Prince Tunde Tella,former chairman Abeokuta North local government, Mrs Aishat Ogunleye,immediate senior Sister of Senator Olamilekan Adeola, Chief Oniyide-Bada of Isaga-orile, Mr Taiwo Sangolade the family sectetary-Pahayi among other cherished family members all rejoice before the king with songs and dancing to Bata-drums from praise originated from Agbole-Onibata family members.
