Abdulrasheed Bawa, the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has revealed what his Doctor said about his health .
Reports has it that Bawa while speaking to Channels TV said his Doctor told him that dehydration caused the dizziness he felt while speaking at a programme organized by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) on September 16.Bawa said :
“While giving my goodwill message during the programme organised by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), there was a sort of dizziness on me and I had to excuse myself from the stage. And of course I went straight to the hospital where the doctors confirmed to me that everything about me is okay except for the fact that I’m a bit dehydrated and need to take a lot of water.
Straight away from the hospital, I went back to the office and now I’m back at home” he said .
He also spoke about the Central Bank of Nigeria’s move to stop the sale of foreign exchange (FX) to bureau de change (BDCs) operators in Nigeria.
“It is a laudable policy that we are working with the central bank with open arms, nobody stops the operations of BDC in this country,” he said.
The policy is about stopping the giving of cash to BDC, and that monies that hitherto are being given to the BDC are now going to be given to financial institutions for them to distribute to those Nigerians that are in need of them.”
