The Executive Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Musa Sheriff has charged the newly inaugurated Councilors to see their success at the last poll as a call to service and means to contribute to the development at the grassroots .
The Local Government Chairman, Hon. Musa Sheriff gave this charge while delivering his inaugural speech of the eighth Legislative Council at the Local Government Legislative Chamber in Ota.
Hon. Musa explained that the expectation of the public is high, saying there is need to ensure harmonious working relationship in order to better the lives of the residents in the local government.
The LG boss admonished the newly inaugurated Councilors to work tirelessly to make appropriate Bye-Laws aimed at improving the standard of living of the people urging them to begin sitting as quickly as possible for the betterment of the entire residents.
Responding, the Leader of the. House, Hon. Mrs Bukonla Balogun Omosowon promised that the Legislative arm of the Local Government would do the needful in supporting the executive arm and accord it all the necessary assistance which in no doubt will facilitate development in the local government.
She enjoined the Councilors to buckle-up in order to meet the people's aspirations adding that the tasks ahead requires dedication and commitment to ensure quality service delivery.
The occasion also witnessed the election of the key officers of the legislature, as Hon. Mrs Bukonla Balogun Omosowon emerged the Leader of the House, Deputy Leader, Hon. Yakubu Kamal, Majority Leader Hon. Ibirinde Ganiu and Chief Whip Hon. (Mrs) Olaegbe Amidat.
