Family of the late rights activist, Gani Fawehinmi, has indicated that Mohammed, his son who passed away recently, would be buried after an autopsy and other necessary arrangements are completed.
Basirat Fawehinmi-Biobaku, eldest child of Gani Fawehinmi, spoke on behalf of the family at a press briefing in Lagos, on Thursday.
The News Agency of Nigeria recalls that Mohammed, eldest son of the late legal icon and activist, died at about 9am after a brief illness in a Lagos hospital, at the age of 52, on Wednesday.
Fawehinmi-Biobaku said the family could not preempt the cause of his death until the release of the autopsy result.
According to her, the family is also waiting for the arrival of the younger brother to the deceased, Saheed, from the U.S.
NAN reports that Mohammed was taken to a hospital, having complained of breathing difficulties.
The deceased, a law degree holder from the University of Buckingham, England, was called to the Nigerian bar in 1998.
He was the Chairman of the Nigerian Weekly Law Reports before his demise.
In 2003, Mohammad had an accident in Lagos which affected his spinal cord. The condition confined him to the wheelchair until his death.
