Rachel Oniga's Burial Schedules For 26th,27th August

 


The burial of Nollywood veteran Rachael Oniga has been fixed for August 26 and 27 in Lagos, The Nation has learnt.

Popular actor, Ejike Asiegbu, stated this on Wednesday after a visit to her residence.

It was also learnt that the actress, a chief from Delta State, left an instruction she should be buried in Lagos.

Asiegbu said: “My relationship with Rachael Oniga dates back to the year 2000. We worked together and became close family friends.

” I am the godfather to her last daughter who is now 26. We were that close. When I had issues with marketers and got banned, she stood by me and was also banned.

” I am still in shock and I was told by her first daughter Georgina aka Miji that her mother died of a heart attack and not covid.

Veteran Nollywood actress Rachel Oniga died on Friday at 64.

He was said to have died around 10pm in Lagos after returning from a movie set.

Her son, Olatunji, said her mother died from malaria and typhoid.

  1. Rachel Tabuno Oniga was born on 23 May 1957 in Ebute Metta, Lagos State.
  2. She is originally from Eku in Delta State.
  3. She began her acting career in 1993, shortly after her divorce.
  4. She worked briefly at Ascoline Nigeria Limited, a Dutch Consultant Company before her first movie titled Onome.
  5. Her debut Yoruba movie was Owo Blow in 1997.
  6. She became a grandmother when her daughter Georgia delivered a baby.
  7. She featured in many Nollywood movies, including English and Yoruba films
