Ota Broils Amidst Banned Motorcycle Riders Permit Re-introduction

 

 
 
 

 
 
 
 
 Ota Community has experienced some levels of unrest by the popular motorcyclists 'Okada Riders' since yesterday Monday 9th August 2021.
 
Information gathered by globalreport correspondent shows that the reason for the riders reactions bother on the authorities Re-introduction of the once banned illegal riders permit tickets collected from riders which in turns added to their sufferings,while probing some of them we are informed that respective union associations daily collects average of #1,300 from each rider,collections ranges from Tickets,Markers and other unreasonable moneis illegally collected from them daily.
 
 
 
 
The riders in their troops throngs around in protest of same today Tuesday 10th August,chanting 'We no go gree'  from one angle of the town to the other canvassing members to join in the protest to 'nib the menace at the bud at once' they said.
 
Global report editor put a call across to the newly elected Chairman of Ado-Odo Ota local government, Honorable Sheriff Musa, who disclosed that though he is yet to be Commission to office yet but stated he heard it by surprise yesterday, further reacted to our questions that his team had no hands in it yet but said he had since inform the NIgerian Police to intervene and ensure normalcy is restored to the commercial hub of the gateway State henceforth. 
When asked why not out to address the troubles riders,he Reveals he is not available as he answered the call but on his way to Abeokuta.
 
 

However, the riders protests continues though peacefully,but was later seen from Oju-ore inward end of Ota accosted by the patrol van of the Nigerian policemen which was sighted leading them to the Local government premises at Ota as of the time of filing this report.
