The president,Dangote group Africa Alhaji Aliko Dangote was said to have invested over N10BN non refundable grants on Nigerian women. The need for selection of vulnerable women across different sections of the country, according to Mr Francis Awowole Brown, a representative of the group is essential to add values to human lives and better the lots of the populace especially the women fold who is always at the recieving end of all social vices in the society.
This Foundation, he said recently gave N10bn non-refundable grants to Nigerian vulnerable women to start small businesses.
If a woman is empowered,children are empowered and the empowered wards are the beauty of any society,hence they become what society made them to be.
DÃ ngote group through the Foundation has undertook numerous projects in virtually all knooks and crannies of the nation,African continents as a whole.
These revelation was made known at "A 3-Day Critical Media Practice Workshop" in Abeokuta, Ogun State, capital. The workshop was organised in partnership with Folio communication media wholly sponsored by Dangote group to further sharpen the modern skills and approaches to Journalism.
One thing about Dangote Industries, he said is it always involves in production of the largest products or one of the largest products.
According to Awowole-Brown, Dangote Industries, as a training company has over 100 units of businesses across Africa and later developed into manufacturing of Sugar, Cement, Salt, season, to mention just a few.
He said Dangote generates its own electricity by itself and for itself for production activities and assembles its own trucks.
Another beauty of Dangote Industries, he said, is high involvement in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) which is handled by the Chairman, Alhaji Dangote Foundation.
