Family members of a-41-year old electrician who got electrocuted while fixing an electrical fault on a NEPA's pole in Otta have vowed to avenge their kins' man's death.

The ill-fated electrician, simply identified as Sakiru, who was not a NEPA official was said to have been hired to fix an electrical fault on the pole by some members of Ayinde Bisiriyu Street, Ifedapo Community Association in the Ado-Odo/Otta local government area.

An eyewitness account told TheCaveat.info that it was while Sakiru was working on the wiring that electricity that had been off for days, was restored suddenly, throwing him off the pole and landing on the ground with serious broken back.

An attempt to save him by the CDA members who rushed him to a nearby hospital, proved futile as he gave up the ghost before arrival at the hospital.

The family members of the electrocuted electrician, however, suspected a fowl play, with a theory that there could have been a set up leading to his being electrocuted.

They argued that it could not just be a mere coincidence that electricity was restored at the very moment their brother was working on the electric pole, after a number of days it was taken.

Besides, they wondered why they had to coerce the ill-fated Sakiru to climb the pole after he had earlier refused to do the job and fix the electrical fault on the ground that another electrician was in charge.

"They pravailed on him to climb the pole because they knew what they wanted to do. Why is it NEPA restored the light that had gone for the past three days at that very moment? There is more to it than they told us", a member of the deceased family who did not want to be mentioned told the press.
