FMC STAFF ON PROTEST OVER ALLEGED ASSAULTS FROM PATIENT'S RELATIVES

Staff and workers of Federal Medical Center Idi-Aba Abeokuta in Ogun state have staged a protest within the hospital premises this morning over alleged assault of one of their staff-nurse.

According to a staffs who prefer anonimity that complain of incessant habits noted of patient's relatives who usually over reacted over little issues in the hospital prompting series of attack on their nurses.

While protesting, solidarity  songs was chanted, bearing series of placards indicating slogans to stop Harrasement on health workers hence they are one of the front liners of public health hazzards even globally.

Findings by our reporter disclosed previous case of another assault where a medical Doctor was slapped by patient's relatives in same hospital without any recourse, though, it was reported that families and even Muslim communities in Ogun state has to broker peace with the FMC management condemning the ugly incidence as not been deserved from anyone especially those working risking their lives to safe others.

It's right time the management and concerned authority put up measures that can prevent these trends of additional hazzards on their workers they chorused.
