When Angry Ogun youths assault Gov Abiodun’s CPS

The angry youths in Ogun state have been reported to have assaulted the Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor, Kunle Somorin over a yet to be known reason.

The Governor’s media aide who is as at the time of filing this report battling to restore his health status at an undisclosed hospital.

It was gathered that the CPS must have sustained a head injury.

The incident occurred at the maiden National Youths Day celebration held at Cultural Centre, Kuto, in Abeokuta,the state capital.

Although preliminary investigation  could not ascertain what the CPS did to provoke the youths but it was clear that the youths dealt with the CPS in anger.

The youths who were part of the participants of the event came hard on Somorin shortly after the Governor ,Dapo Abiodun departed the venue of the event .

It was gathered that Somorin who went to the event in his personal car,became the victim of the youths at a spot close to where his car was parked.

Calls put across to the victim were neither picked nor returned.

Meanwhile earlier at the programme, the state Governor assured the youths of training them to be employable and to be employers of labour.

Abiodun stated that the youths should key into the state government empowerment scheme such as the Ogun Youths Empowerment Scheme OG-YES and other youths Programme .

His words, “there can not be a better way to celebrate the youths than empowering them ,hence, the decision of our administration to take the opportunity to flagoff Ogun Youths Empowerment Scheme OG-YES,in our dear state.

” This Youth Empowerment Programme is another Symbolic of our administration’s commitment to ensure increased prosperity for the people and continued development of our dear state.”

Also speaking ,the Ogun State Youth ambassador and the winner of BBNaija 2020 edition, Lekan Agbelesebioba ,known as Laycon advised the Youths to be the agents of Change .

Laycon urged the youth to renew their energy towards contributing positively towards the state and the country in general.
