The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, appointed the winner of Big brother Naija movie, popular known as Laycon as the youth Ambassador of Ogun State.
Apart from this, the governor also gave Laycon a cash gift of five million naira and a three bedroom bungalow in a popular area within the state.
Infact, I have no beef with Laycon, he is not the problem here. My only agitation is on what ground did the governor appointed him as the youth ambassador? Why will our able governor waste peoples' tax on someone who is already rich and left behind the poor and vulnerable people looking for assistance from our governor? Is our governor not aware the deplorable conditions of roads which many innocent souls have been lost and millions worth of property are waste on daily basis within the state? Finally, can we say our able governor is also in support of immorality in the society.
I believe the worth of the bungalow promised by our able governor in addition with the N5m cash could go far in the payment of N30,000 minimum wage, which the present administration find so difficult to pay workers till date. Likewise, pensioners are crying everyday over non payment of their pension by Dapo Abiodun led administration yet, all these tasks were left behind but our Excellency derived joy in using such huge amount with a beautiful bungalow to support immorality 'sex movie show' in the society. What signal is our governor passing unto the youths and new generation to come?
If the governor had given out the cash from his own personal pocket, it would have been better. But why waste tax payers money celebrating indiscipline and immorality?
Laycon can never be our youth ambassador but for the governor's office in Oke Mosan.
